Jimmy Olsson is an award winning director and writer who began working with film professionally in 2005 after attending  Kulturama film school in Stockholm. After school, to get experience he worked a lot in the advertising industry as an assistant director, production manager, editor and director. He released his first professional short film after finishing film school in 2011. It was called Repressed and it toured the world for over four years.

Jimmy´s short films have won numerous awards all over the world. His film 2nd Class has played over 170 festivals and claimed 65 awards. He followed up that film with Alive which won the Huesca international film festival and became Oscar qualified and won over 30 awards after that. Both Alive and 2nd class were picked for Vimeo Staff Picks, Short of the week and Omeleto. His comedic short mockumentaries have been a big success on the national broadcaster SVT and been seen by over 3,5 million. He is currently writing and developing several series and features. In 2022 he made his debut feature Fiktiv Granskning. Jimmy's goal is to continue making art house movies for broader audiences.
